Red Gram / Toor Dal / Kandipappu : 1 cup
Dry Red Chillies : 4 - 7
Cumin Seeds : 1 tsp
Oil : 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Method :
Heat oil in a wide pan. Add the red gram, cumin seeds and red chillies to it. Roast till aromatic or until they turn into light brown color. Switch off the flame and let it cool completely. Grind the roasted ingredients into a fine powder. Now add the salt and mix very well. Serve with steamed rice and dollop of ghee.
