and they were gone so fast. on tuesday i made the mistake of going to the grocery store hungry {big no-no} and came home with a number of random goodies...including reese's mini pieces for baking. i immediately whipped up the recipe on the back of the bag and they did not disappoint. so go get yourself some reese's mini pieces and get baking! they're easy i promise.
ingredients:
2/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 1/3 cups mini reese's pieces
directions:
heat oven to 350 degrees. lightly grease cookie sheets. beat shortening, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in large bowl until fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. stir together flour, baking soda, and salt; add alternately with milk to sugar mixture. stir in oats and candy pieces. drop by scant tablespoons onto prepared cookie sheets. bake 11-15 minutes or until lightly browned. cool 10 minutes on cookie sheet.
