powell-a-rama.

LAKE POWELL.
One of the most magical places on earth, behind Disneyland of course. Jelissa brought her professional camera and we had digi time 24/7. Literally thousands of pics were taken, here are the best of the best. Kind of.

This is me loving it. I looked like a wet creature the entire trip, but hey its no big D.
Sexy babes: agree or disagree?
The first night we had the wildest dance party. I'm only posting the one pic --- trust me, I'm doing it for your own good.

Please look at these boys having the best time.

Here is Jamie, my new bff. (Is that okay with you Jamie?) Isn't he a tiger?

Nate also wanted in on the tiger look and I accepted.

Isn't this a sweet pic. James is practically a pro surfer.
As you can see, Sean really likes us. THANK YOU.

I tried to surf, I really did. What you are about to see is my attempt.

Why my leg went in last every time is beyond me.
Group pic!!!

Let the harrassment begin. They loved ratting my hair and pushing me all over the place. It was like elementary school.

James likes to take control of my limbs and dance me around. Yeah.

Girl power.

That tampon was a highlight.

The guys spent like 30 min anchoring the boat so we could all go on a swim/hike so when we told them (me, mal and brynn) that we were going to hang in the boat imagine their reaction. Not happy. So we came on the adventure and we were very pleased indeed.

Swimming in the canyon. There was so much icky stuff in the water but I just had to man up and deal. I still get creeped just thinking about it.
After our "shower" in the lake.

Tube of death time. Tyler was the worst driver and we were yelling bad words the entire time. I always think tubing is going to be so fun but its just scary/painful.
So there are some fun ones from our trip to Powell. If you are going, take me.

very late weekend update.

Such a fab weekend. On Friday night I went to game 3 of the playoffs with Spencer. What a riot. I have recently discovered that I am quite the jazz fan.

Check out the free shirts. I love free things.

And the free food. Spencer was pretty excited.

The view from the SUITE.

They even had ice cream for me at half time and I didn't even have to tell them I wanted some.

Guess who was in the suite one down from ours, oh just President Monson.

Winnerzzzzz!

#1!!!!! Such a fun game, thank you spencer for inviting me.

On Saturday night Josh set out to show me how to scuba dive. I loved being able to breathe underwater...I felt like such a mermaid. These pictures are pretty sick...underwater is not my best look. BUT we had the best time!

More Inauguration cupcakes

Georgetown Cupcakes in Washington DC are doing some rather yummy looking inauguration cupcake - the rest of their cupcakes look very tasty as well :)

Obama cupcakes

So finally America will have their new president next week and lots of places are doing inauguration cupcakes. Alpha Mom shows you how to make your own Obama Cupcakes toppers for your inauguration party!

The blue frosting looks AWESOME

Gorgeous!

Another place I may have to add to the New York Cupcake Tour list is Kyotofu - their chocolate souffle cupcake has been voted the best in New York by New York Magazine!

I think I can hear Manny drooling as he spots this picture!

You can order the cupcakes on line for your valentine as well :)

I like the sound of their yuza vanilla cupcake as well but it looks more like a muffin to me as its unfrosted!

These moist, light cupcakes are made with yuzu, a Japanese winter citrus fruit, and Tahitian vanilla. Recommended for sweets lovers looking for a lighter take on the usual cupcake.

Their cakes look absolutely stunning though - I hope they taste as good as they look!

Wheat flour Dosa ~ Goduma Dosa

Mix the wheat flour with salt, cooking soda, cumin seeds and water. Make the dough into the consistency of normal dosa dough. Pour one ladle mixture on the dosa tava and spread it evenly. When it turns brown, turn the other side slowly and cook well. Serve hot with Coconut chutney.

Le Cool Cupcakes

As featured in this weeks Le Cool email

Bakery Primrose Bakery
With claps and squeals of delight, it was on a recent shopping trip that me and my friend stumbled upon this treasure trove of a bakery just off Covent Garden. More twee than a Disney movie,
Primrose Bakery is an upscale cake haven suitable for kids, but really catering for grown-ups of the female variety. Help yourself to a (quite amazing) cappuccino and pick from an array of fine and divine cupcakes topped with sweet halos of icing. With a minimal number of tables, I imagine this place is chocca at the weekend (and for good reason too), but should you be so lucky to bag a space, take the time to enjoy this cute little sweetspot with your best female friends, reading coffee table magazines and people watching from the big window. With five-star cupcakes, this is the fine dining of floured goods
The pics are of some lovely cupcakes we enjoyed at Christmas from Primrose!! I fully agree with Le Cool, the cafe is cute as a button but very small - I've managed to bag a seat twice and am always happy to have grabbed one!
Talking of cupcakes...I still haven't had a cupcake since before New Year....good grief!

Green Tea Cupcakes

Crumbs and Doilies flavour of the month is Green Tea - perfect for those who are detoxing/recovering from the festive period...well green tea is healthy innit ;) I aim to go there in a couple of weeks to try some as although I'm not fond of green tea these look rather nice and I missed them last time they were the flavour of the month and this year I'm keen to try all of them :)

Our Green Tea cupcakes are made using real Japanese Sencha green tea from a small farm in Shizuoka. They’re light, zingy and perfect for the post-Christmas detox!

Thanks to Crumbs and Doilies for the pics.

Cupcake memo pad

I picked up this really cute little cupcake memo pad by KTWO Products in Waterstones book store on Friday. They had a matching recipe file , part of their A Place for Everything range, but it was £15 so I stuck with the cute £3.99 memo block - there's a credit crunch after all!
